I have always had an interest in the crosses on Dartmoor and this is a cross l have wanted to visit for a long time, the walk to the top was a bit harder than l had expected, this view makes it look closer than it really is, while l was taking another shot from the bottom Dave put some distance between us, in my head l thought l could run and catch him, (why, l hate running on the flat never mind up a steep hill) after about 100 yards my legs started to burn and ceased up on me, Dave was still walking on in front not knowing of the pain l was now in, not to be beaten l carried on now not bothered if l caught him up l would see him at the top, when l finally reached the top l fell to the ground rubbing my legs and catching my breath, Dave was nice enough to let me know l needed to get my camera out while the clouds looked good, if l could speak l would have told him at that point f@@@ the clouds, after a few mins l was ok and got on with what l was there for. After all that l can honestly say this is now my favorite Tor, if you visit here enjoy the walk and view, if your not a runner don't try and run to the top.
